According to rumors Leclerc will change part of his Ferrari’s power unit: 5 penalty positions

Penalties are coming for Charles Leclerc, who according to rumors at Spa will fit an evolution of the hybrid part of the power unit on his Ferrari car. The step is expected to increase the performance of the Prancing Horse car on the straights, but it will also result in a 5-place grid penalty ahead of Sunday’s race.

In addition, engine reliability problems, on a track with as many straights as Spa, continue to loom over the Maranello stable. At the press conference, however, Leclerc said he was optimistic: “How do I see the next races? We will take them one at a time at the team level, but we will try to make the most of the opportunities in front of us. I still believe in the title. It will be difficult, of course, but I will believe until the end. I have to do as Sebastian Vettel did in 2013, when he won every race after the summer break: maybe it’s easier said than done but I will do my best.”

A review of the first part of the season: “The first part of the season was full of ups and downs, I accumulated a lot of emotions that eventually lead to fatigue. I used these three weeks to the fullest with family and friends, I needed rest. Photos in Maranello? It is a tradition, although for Covid it was not done in 2020-2021. In the last two years we have worked together and it has helped us to become competitive again.”
