Financial fair play: fined Milan, Inter Milan, Roma and Juventus

Uefa has issued an official communiqué containing sanctions for clubs that failed to comply with the Financial Fair Play stakes. Among the Italians, Milan, Inter, Roma and Juventus were punished, as well as Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, Marseille and Besiktas.

“The First Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), chaired by Sunil Gulati, today announced a series of decisions involving clubs that participated in UEFA’s 2021/22 club competitions. The First Chamber of the CFCB found that AC Milan (ITA), AS Monaco (FRA), AS Roma (ITA), BeÅiktaÅ JK (TUR), FC Internazionale Milano (ITA), Juventus (ITA), Olympique de Marseille (FRA), and Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) failed to meet the break-even requirement,” the note reads.

According to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan will have to pay 2 million euros (15 if it fails to break-even in 3 years), Juventus 3.5 (23 if it fails to break-even in the next three years), Inter 4 (26 if it fails to break-even in 4 years), and Roma 5 (35 if it fails to break-even in the next 4 years).
