Ferrari figure, tire disappears: Sainz sunk
More bungling by Ferrari during the Dutch Gp.
Yet another embarrassment for Ferrari: on lap 16 of the Dutch Grand Prix, a new mess in the pits scuttled Carlos Sainz’s race. The Spaniard, who returned for the first pit stop of the race at Zandvoort, was stopped for a long time because a Cavallino worker forgot to bring in a new left rear tire to fit on the F1-75.
It was a mondovision mess, yet another one that cost Sainz dearly as he was stopped for a full 12 seconds: having entered in third position, the Iberian found himself on re-entering the track in 11th and with a race almost compromised.
