Inter, Marcelo Brozovic injury: recovery time
The Croatian midfielder will have to stay in the pits for about a month
After the left thigh flexor problem sustained in the 15th minute of the Nations League match between Austria and Croatia on Sunday night, Marcelo Brozovic underwent instrumental examinations on Monday to assess the extent of the injury. This is the statement from the Croatian national team: “Croatian national team midfielder Marcelo Brozovic underwent an MRI examination at St. Katarina Hospital today, after being taken out in the 18th minute due to an injury in the match against Austria. The results of the MRI showed a partial tear in the left thigh flexor, so Brozovic is expected to rest for several weeks. Further treatment will be taken care of by Inter’s doctors, who will also provide a precise prognosis of recovery, and the Croatian national team’s medical service will be in constant contact with them.”
The Inter player will undergo further examinations when he returns to Italy. According to the Croatian note, it is a muscle injury in the flexor of the left thigh for which the Nerazzurri player will have to remain out of action for three to four weeks, thus missing, among others, the two key matches against Barcelona in the Champions League round.
