Jannik Sinner: Dominic Thiem is lapidary

Thiem: “Sinner, Alcaraz and Tiafoe have changed tennis.”

Dominic Thiem in an interview with Der Standard gave his opinion on the new generation of tennis players that is slowly supplanting the previous one: “Players like Alcaraz, Sinner or Tiafoe have changed tennis. They play very fast and have taken the sport to a new level.”

“Compared to them, the Big Three could be called almost defensive or cautious. This change definitely affects other tennis players as well, who have to be able to change their game pattern a little bit every time they play against them.”

On his condition: “I am competitive again, I can say that I have achieved this goal. The plan for this last part of the season is to try to get back into the top 100. My path will see me playing in Gijon, Antwerp and finally Vienna.”
