F1, Carlos Sainz disaster at Suzuka: race already over
Fifth retirement of the season for Spaniard
Carlos Sainz’s Japanese Grand Prix lasted only a few minutes. The Spaniard went to the wall at Suzuka completely compromising his race. Accomplice to the heavy rain that fell on the Suzuka circuit, the Ferrarista was the victim of classic aquaplaning: race over and single-seater completely destroyed.
For the Ferrari driver it was a heavy retirement (he had chances to even try to win the race), the fifth of his season. A pity because the Spaniard was coming off six races in the points (with two third places). His last retirement had occurred during the Austrian Grand Prix.
