MotoGp, Luca Marini wants to forget Thailand
Mooney VR46 Racing Team driver wants to forget Thailand
Mooney VR46 centaur Luca Marini spoke to his team’s official channels ahead of the third-to-last round of the MotoGP, which will see the riders make a stop in Philip Island, Australia.
“On the one hand, I was sorry not to race right away in Phillip Island after Thailand. A little bit to put the race epilogue behind me, a little bit also because I’m having a lot of fun riding my bike in this season finale. I’m looking forward to Friday: compared to the other motorcycle classes, with MotoGP, Phillip Island will be a whole other dimension,” explained the 1997-class rider, fresh off a 23rd-place finish in the Thai Grand Prix.
So far, Luca Marini’s second season in MotoGp has lived up to expectations: still no podium for the Marche centaur who, however, has already earned 101 points, which place him in 12th place currently in the standings, with three GPs to go in the championship.
MotoGP is the top category in circuit racing motorcycle championships. This category came into existence in 2002, replacing the 500 class, following a change in the displacement regulations. Currently, 24 riders take part in the MotoGp championship, with two riders per team.
