Naples, official recovery time for Frank Zambo-Anguissa
Anguissa injured in Champions League match against Ajax
Through an official statement, Napoli has released the recovery time from the injury of Frank Zambo-Anguissa, who was forced to leave the pitch at the beginning of the second half of Napoli-Ajax, a match later won 4-2 by the Neapolitan club, which has already detached the pass for the Champions League round of 16.
The official note reads, “Frank Anguissa, as scheduled, underwent clinical examinations this morning that showed an elongation of the semitendinosus muscle in his right thigh. The Azzurri midfielder will continue the therapies already started.”
The extent of the injury is not serious, there is no injury and so the Cameroonian could be back at the disposal of coach Spalletti starting from the eleventh round of Serie A, thus skipping only the next day that will see the Azzurri take on Bologna on Sunday, October 16 at 6 p.m. at the “Diego Armando Maradona”.
Napoli has won two Scudetti in its history, both with Diego Armando Maradona on the field: the first with Ottavio Bianchi on the bench (1986-87 season), the second with Albertino Bigon (1989-90) at the helm. Luciano Spalletti has been at the helm of the Azzurri since 2021: before him was Gennaro Gattuso.
