Vincenzo Nibali and Alberto Contador ready to take another round of applause
Nibali and Contador to be guests at Giro 2023 presentation
Vincenzo Nibali and Alberto Contador will also be among the special guests at the presentation of the Giro d’Italia 2023, which will take place Monday, Oct. 17, at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan. RCS Sport, which organizes the Pink Race, announced this through a statement released Sunday.
The event will be presented by Cristina Fantoni and Paolo Kessisoglu, and will be attended by many well-known faces from sports, entertainment, institutions and companies that are part of the big Giro d’Italia family. They will include the winner of the last Giro d’Italia, Jay Hindley, the last winner of the Cyclamen Jersey, Arnaud Demare, the winner of the last climbers’ Maglia Azzurra, Koen Bouwman, and, indeed, Nibali (final pink jersey in 2013 and 2016) and Contador (able to win the overall classification of the Giro in 2008 and 2015).
Inside the presentation will be a talk show with the editors of Corriere della Sera Luciano Fontana, La Gazzetta dello Sport Stefano Barigelli and Spanish daily Marca Juan Ignacio Gallardo. Doing the honors will be RCS Mediagroup President Urbano Cairo; RCS Sport CEO Paolo Bellino; and Giro d’Italia Director Mauro Vegni.
