Inter Milan wants to renew Lukaku’s loan for the 2023-24 season

Romelu Lukaku is still struggling with the muscle injury that has kept him out of action since the third league match between Lazio and Inter, the last game played by the Nerazzurri striker. It is now almost two months of stop, but Big Rom could be available again in the very next round of Serie A, in the match against Fiorentina scheduled at the “Franchi” on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8:45 p.m.

While waiting for the Belgian bomber to be back at coach Inzaghi’s disposal, Inter Milan has already made a move for Lukaku’s future, with the clear intention of wanting to renew the loan for next season and then purchase him permanently in 2024. This is what we read in the Gazzetta dello Sport: “Chelsea have released Romelu Lukaku who will never return to London: the Nerazzurri club already has an agreement ready with Chelsea for another year on loan in 2023/2024, then Lukaku will become an Inter player outright in June 2024 with a redemption already set.”

The Nerazzurri club has boasted the title of Italian champions nineteen times, most recently in 2021 when Antonio Conte was at the helm. The first Scudetto came in 1910, the first Champions Cup in 1964, duplicated immediately the following year. With Jose Mourinho on the bench, in 2010, the ‘Beneamata’ raised the cup with the big ears for the third time by knocking out Bayern Munich in the final.
