Sepang: Pecco Bagnaia starts behind but ahead of Fabio Quartararo
Martin in pole position
Pecco Bagnaia will start from ninth on the grid in the MotoGp Malaysian Grand Prix. Rather in the rear, then, the Piedmontese rider. Fabio Quartararo, however, did worse than the Ducatista, as he did no better than the twelfth time: probably conditioned by the crash in Free Practice 4, the reigning world champion made a mistake on his fastest lap and then took the checkered flag by failing to make another attempt.
Pole position, complete with track record, for Jorge Martin (Pramac) with a time of 1:57.790. With the Spaniard on the front row will start Enea Bastianini (Gresini) and Marc Marquez (Honda). From the second row Bezzecchi, Rins and Marini.
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years it was the Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo, twice a rainbow winner, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
