Berrettini spoke after the final lost in Naples to Musetti, lamenting the many physical troubles, “I thought about quitting.”

Matteo Berrettini in a press conference after the Naples final lost to Lorenzo Musetti vented bitterly about yet another physical problem, a foot trouble that has plagued him in recent days: “I felt a strong twinge in my foot halfway through the second set – these are the words reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport – I have to do the checks. This does not take anything away from Lorenzo’s victory, which was great.”
