MotoGp, harsh attack on Franco Morbidelli: “He lives on another planet.”
Aprilia Spaniard Aleix Espargaró’s lunge against the Yamaha rider: “He does stupid things.”
Aprilia centaur Aleix Espargaró pointed the finger at Franco Morbidelli for a maneuver he made at the start of the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang. “I don’t know what he is doing this season. I don’t understand him. Does he live on a different planet?”
“He keeps doing stupid things,” he continued his venomous scrutiny at the press conference, “at every event he takes penalties. Fortunately we didn’t fall in yesterday’s event.”
Morbidelli, who was punished by the race officials with a 3-second penalty, on the other hand, openly disputed the decision: “I hope this action will have a big repercussion on social media and television, because it will serve as an example of how Race Direction gets it wrong and how they got it wrong again. I think they are under a lot of pressure and this pressure overwhelms them. Too many comments on social media, everywhere. I think there is no balance between safety and entertainment.”
