Olimpia Milano, Brandon Davies has one goal in mind
The former Barcelona man has only one goal in mind
Former Barcelona and Zalgiris Kaunas player among others, Brandon Davies, spoke about his adventure in Olimpia Milano jersey, interviewed by ‘La Repubblica’ Milan edition.
“Barcelona is a city where living and playing is wonderful. But Milan is also a beautiful city, I live in the San Siro area in the green. From the beginning everything was perfect: for me, who played in Varese five years ago, it was a kind of return. Being part of a new reality was also a very fast process. Olimpia is a perfect organization, I’ve played with Pangos before and it’s great to have him back here,” explained the U.S.-born, Ugandan-naturalized big forward.
“The fact that I have never won is an extra incentive for me to succeed with Olimpia. We have a chance to do something great but, at the moment, our goal is to improve every day, game after game and win the playoffs. Then, of course, we will aim for the Final Four and the title. We are a veteran team and the nice thing is that everyone is able to bring their best stuff to the group and everyone is focused on winning and growing the team. The second nice thing about being surrounded by veterans is that they expect you to always produce the best you are capable of,” then continued the player, who in the NBA has worn the undershirts of Philadelphia and Brooklyn.
Then a few words on the choice to join Coach Messina in Milan: “It was easy to choose Milan after talking to the coach and Stavropoulos. With experience you understand that coaches’ reactions are always the same, sometimes they are happy, sometimes they are angry. But the important thing is not how they tell you things, but what they say.”
