Haas driver Kevin Magnussen took the first pole of his career
Haas driver Kevin Magnussen commented in amazement on the pole position he took at Interlagos, the first of his career. The U.S. team’s strategy was perfect: “I don’t know what to say. The team sent me out on the track at exactly the right time. We were first in pit lane, we did this lap and we are on pole.”
“It’s unbelievable, thank you to Gene Haas, Günther and the whole team for this opportunity,” Magnussen continued, “I’m back this year after a season away, and it’s been a fantastic run. Thank you very much, it’s great. I didn’t even remotely expect this result. We will try to attack and have fun on Saturday.”
