The 34-year-old midfielder ended his second season in Belgium badly
It’s over, now there are no more doubts. Antwerp wants no more of Nainggolan. Caught smoking before a match (last October 18), the former Piacenza, Cagliari, Inter and Roma player has been, in fact, permanently put off the roster.
In an official note, the Belgian club made it known that Nainggolan will no longer wear the Antwerp jersey. As his contract is set to expire in June, the midfielder will now be forced to find a new arrangement. After a positive first season in Belgium, Nainggolan was lost in this second year at Antwerp. A negative ending to a homecoming that should have been sweeter.
