Roma, Walter Sabatini brutal on Jose Mourinho
Sabatini on Mourinho: “When he came to Rome I said he was the opium of the poor, history is proving that he is.”
Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini harshly attacked Jose Mourinho in an interview with TMW Radio: “He is a cloying argument. He does his daily act for the use and consumption of journalists. When he came to Rome I said he was the opium of the poor, history is proving that he is. I was admired when he coached Porto, otherwise he leaves me indifferent as a coach.”
Sabatini also very hard on the Portuguese for his handling of Karsdorp: “It’s fine to pinch players, but when you expose a player like Karsdorp to public ridicule you take away his chance to live peacefully in that environment. It is likely that this boy will have to give up living normally in Rome. It’s sad that he has to run away to Holland, it could have been handled differently.”
