F1, Gp Abu Dhabi: Verstappen takes pole, Ferraris behind Red Bulls

Max Verstappen was fastest in qualifying for the last Grand Prix of the season

Max Verstappen also leaves his mark in the last qualifying of the Formula 1 season: in Abu Dhabi, the world champion took pole position with a time of 1:23.824, ahead of Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.

Behind the two drivers from the Austrian team are the two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who precede the two Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

Sparks are expected for Sunday’s race between Verstappen and Perez after last weekend’s controversy, and battle between the Ferraris and Mercedes for the constructors’ standings.
