Valentino Rossi to Yamaha: confirmation has arrived
Valentino Rossi’s team in 2024 could use the Japanese stable’s bikes
The number of teams using Ducati motorcycles in MotoGp is set to drop: this was revealed by Jorge Viegas, newly re-elected president of the International Motorcycling Federation in Rimini.
At the microphones of Rai Viegas was categorical: “Eight Ducati riders and only two Yamaha? I don’t see this situation well, but I think it will only be for 2023.”
According to Viegas in 2024 Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team could switch to Yamaha: “In 2024 Valentino Rossi’s team could switch from Ducati to Yamaha. For now it’s an idea and there is nothing confirmed, but I’m giving news, which is that we will have six Ducatis and four Yamahas.” The VR46 Racing Team has a contract with Ducati until the end of 2024, and at the moment they are ruling out a possible early farewell from Borgo Panigale.
