Ducati, Alvaro Bautista wants MotoGp.
Spaniard dreams of emulating Bayliss at Valencia in 2006
Ducati centaur Alvaro Bautista, Superbike world champion, in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport sent a message to Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall’Igna: “I would like to race at least one more race in MotoGP. Like Bayliss in Valencia in 2006. But first of all, I would like to try the Desmosedici, which I think is a very fun bike. It would be a nice gift from Dall’Igna,” explained the Spaniard, who dreams of a wild card.
Bautista would like to do like Troy Bayliss, who in 2006, as SBK world champion, won the last race of the MotoGp season as a wild card.
The Spaniard has failed to shine in MotoGp: “I think I missed something to show my potential. But you can’t appeal to bad luck, while I feel lucky: because I am a rider and already just living this life for me was a dream, I had great successes and went through bad times, but it’s part of life. Maybe I missed the 250 title and then a competitive bike in MotoGP, but I don’t know if I would have won.”
