Japanese house asks Red Bull for help

After a year to forget in MotoGp, where Honda finished in last place in the constructors’ standings behind Ducati, Aprilia and Yamaha but also Ktm and Suzuki, the Japanese manufacturer is already working to make up the gap from last season where, despite missing several races, the best was Marc Marquez.

In Formula 1, however, the Japanese stable is fresh from great satisfaction, especially from contributing, through its partnership with Red Bull, to Dutchman Max Verstappen’s first world title win in 2021.

Koji Watanabe, president of the Honda Racing Corporation, said in this regard, “Our top priority for 2023 is to regain the title, and for this there will be synergy with the F1 department.”
