Lecce, Juventus’ interest in a midfielder
Juve follows with interest Joan Gonzalez
At Juventus, people are looking to the future. In fact, the Bianconeri management is already moving to give Massimiliano Allegri a prospective midfield reinforcement. In particular, the Old Lady would be on the trail of young Spanish midfielder Joan Gonzalez, owned by Lecce, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport. The Bianconeri are not the only ones following the talented Giallorossi player: there is also interest in him from top European clubs such as Tottenham and West Ham in the Premier League and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
Picked up this summer by technical director Pantaleo Corvino on a zero-parameter basis, Gonzalez has just renewed with the Salento club until 2027. His excellent performances in this start of the season in Serie A, topped by a goal and two assists, have caught the attention of Juventus, which, however, has to reckon with the price of the player’s card, which is around 15 million euros. The Giallorossi club already savors the deal: in case of the sale of its midfielder, the capital gain would be considerable.
