Genoa, outbound track for Massimo Coda
Runway out for the Griffin
Genoa has shifted gears after Gilardino’s arrival, but despite this the Genoese club is very active in the market, both inbound and outbound. Indeed, there could be changes in the Grifone’s attack.
In fact, Ascoli has expressed interest in Rossoblù striker Massimo Coda, author of six goals in the first part of the championship. However, the negotiation appears to be more viable for the summer market window.
The sporting director of the Marche club, Marco Valentino, expressed himself on the subject in the words reported by the portal ‘Picenotime’: “Possible arrival of Coda? I don’t think he is just for Ascoli’s case. We have not yet made assessments on who will leave, based on who will be sold we will orient ourselves on who to take. To date, the clubs have not made definitive choices on disposals and often in January we can target only those who do not fully fit into their respective projects. To name names is premature but I reiterate that if we take someone it will be to strengthen the team. Coda is one of the most important players in the category, I would be a fool to say I don’t like him.”
