Reyer Venezia: heir to Walter De Raffaele identified
Croatian coach reportedly in pole position to coach Reyer
After four consecutive defeats, Reyer Venezia has decided to relieve coach De Raffaele of his duties. As per the club’s statement, “… The team has been temporarily entrusted to assistant coach Gianluca Tucci.”
However, the lagoon club would already be working to find a new coach. In pole position would be Spahija. The 60-year-old Croatian coach has a lot of experience in the Euroleague and also past experience, as an assistant coach, in the NBA. Last year at the helm of Baskonia, he would have what it takes to pick up De Raffaele’s heavy legacy. There would also be the Italian alternative leading to Pianigiani who, lately, has said no to many offers from abroad and who could, therefore, return to coaching in Serie A.
