Valentino Rossi draws applause after Bathurst debut
WRT team boss Vincent Vosse said he was very pleased with Valentino Rossi’s performance.
Valentino Rossi’s performance in his overall debut on the legendary and treacherous Mount Panorama track at Bathurst in Australia was highlighted by WRT team boss Vincent Vosse: “Everyone did well, they didn’t make the slightest mistake and everyone had similar speed. We also have to mention what Vale showed. He was at a very high level for his first race at Bathurst.”
Valentino Rossi and his team finished sixth in the No. 46 BMW, but the podium could have also come had it not been for a technical problem that happened at the end of the 12 Hours. The Doctor also promoted himself: “I think my speed and performance was good. I feel good on this car, it is very easy to drive. But during the race we still need a little more pace, especially in the heat. We could have been in the top five, but overall it was a good race.”
Valentino Rossi’s teammate, Augusto Farfus, also applauded the rider from Tavullia: “Unfortunately, the taillight cost us a better result. But Vale did an incredible job and we had a great team, which is a solid base to work on for a successful season.”
