The body of the 31-year-old Hatayspor man, who had also worn Chelsea and Newcastle jerseys in his career, was found under the rubble of the building where he resided in Antioch.

“His personal belongings are still being removed. His phone was also found,” confirmed his agent Murat Uzunmehmet.

There had been rumors in recent days that Atsu had been found alive, but this information unfortunately turned out to be false.
