Honda, Joan Mir: “Nervous and charged, I want to fight with Marquez”

Joan Mir spoke on the sidelines of the presentation of Honda’s new bike in Madrid: “I know that mine will not be an easy year, as Honda is coming from a couple of difficult seasons and, together with Marc, it will be up to me to bring it back to the top. At the same time, however, I will have to get the right confidence with a completely different bike than the one I rode until last year. It will be a tough challenge, but I’m ready.”

“In any case, I am very nervous and charged up now that I am actually wearing these colors. The Sepang tests were encouraging for me, because I spent a lot of time taking measurements with the RC213V and gaining the right confidence in the saddle, but the indications I gave were similar to those of Marquez. If we are working in the same direction, it means that the harmony in the box is good; I hope to fight with him often in the race, because it would mean being in the top positions.”
