Indian Wells, Lorenzo Sonego stops immediately
Kubler beats Sonego
It came right down to the wire for Lorenzo Sonego’s adventure at the Indian Wells tournament. However, the gritty Piedmontese tennis player, who started with the odds stacked against Jason Kubler, succumbed to his rival in just two sets.
6-4, 7-6 were the partial scores in favor of the 1993-born Australian, who in the tie-break, which ended at 7-4, took advantage of the first of the match points at his disposal to close out the contest. In the first set, Kubler had broken Sonego’s serve by capitalizing on the only break point of the fraction.
