Monza striker Petagna: “Mancini ignores me but I could be useful.”
Not only Mario Balotelli: another Italian striker, Andrea Petagna, also wanted to retort to head coach Roberto Mancini, who in recent days has raised the alarm about the lack of top-notch forwards in Italy, justifying his choice to call up the oriundo Retegui.
“I am sorry I have never been summoned by Mancini,” admitted the Monza striker, “He has never called me, not even once, just to get to know each other and understand what I can give. I am convinced that I have qualities that can be useful to the national team,” are his words to Corriere della Sera.
Balotelli on social media had sent this message, “Trust me, the strikers in Italy are there and they are fit.”
