Ferrari, Carlos Sainz has little understanding of it: ‘Much confusion on the track’
The Ferrari driver spoke after the second free practice in Australia
Carlos Sainz, fifth in free practice at the Australian Grand Prix, to Sky took stock of a difficult Friday: the Ferrari Spaniard did not shine on the fastest lap, while things went better on the long run.
“Probably the low grip of the asphalt sent us all a bit out of phase and took away our confidence to push hard on the dry lap. Some were doing warm-up laps, some were doing flying laps and there was a lot of confusion on the track,” said the Iberian.
“Everyone was doing something different and it all led to a lot of traffic. For qualifying we should do a little better,” Sainz explained.
