Rafa Nadal is forced to withdraw from the Monte Carlo tournament

Painful forfeit for Rafael Nadal: the Spanish former world number one tennis player will be forced to skip the Monte Carlo Masters 1000, one of the Manacor star’s favorite tournaments.

The time of the season on clay, a surface on which Nadal is the greatest of all time, thus begins uphill: “I don’t feel ready yet, and I will have to skip one of the most important tournaments of my career. I keep preparing myself preferring to live for the day and only come back when I’m fully fit. I wouldn’t want to risk making things worse,” he wrote on social media.

Nadal has to deal with a series of injuries that has affected him in the last period (the latest at the Australian Open): the goal is to return in time and in the best way possible for Roland Garros, his big goal of the season.
