Ducati, Marc Marquez toward farewell to Honda: Gigi Dall’Igna’s message

Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall’Igna to Gpone.com spoke about Marc Marquez’s possible farewell to Honda. According to Jorge Lorenzo, the Catalan rider will soon be riding a Ducati: “First of all, I don’t think Marc would accept going to an unofficial team. He is a star and stars want to be treated as such.”

“On his return after several months of inactivity he had a beautiful race with Honda, so I would wait before saying that Marc and Honda will separate at the end of 2024. I don’t see it as so obvious, in fact, I think there is every possibility for them to still do well together.”

“That said, we are happy with the riders we have right now. One we haven’t been able to highlight yet because he’s been injured, but I hope to see him fit again at Mugello, and the other is Pecco. Last year he did stratospheric things with our bike. He did things that only a great champion can do. So between now and 2024, there is still water under the bridge,” Dall’Igna concluded.
