MotoGp: stop for Alex Rins, LCR team defines recovery time
Alex Rins will definitely miss two MotoGp class Grand Prix
There will be two MotoGp class Grand Prix that will not see Alex Rins, the Spanish LCR Team rider who suffered a fractured tibia and fibula at Mugello during Saturday’s Sprint Race, at the starting line.
“Alex Rins will fly today to Spain to continue treatment after the injury suffered Saturday during the Italian Grand Prix weekend,” reads the official channels of the team founded by Lucio Cecchinello. “After immobilizing the tibia and fibula with an external fixator, Alex will undergo a second operation later this week in Madrid to internally fix the bones and begin the recovery process. The Spanish rider will miss the Grand Prix in Germany and the Netherlands.”
Rins is therefore expected to return to Silverstone, in early August, for the British Grand Prix: however, the officiality of the return date will be confirmed in the coming weeks, close to the British weekend.
