Ferrari: from Frederic Vasseur an admission and a promise for Montreal
The realization is that we have problems to solve; the hope is to do it quickly.
Frederic Vasseur frames Ferrari’s goals heading into the Canadian Grand Prix, after the disappointments of the last few months in Formula 1 and the great satisfaction of the house of the Prancing Horse with the victory at Le Mans. However, the focus is now on Montreal, on the revival ambitions of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, but above all on the developments of the SF-23.
“We come to Canada with the knowledge that we still have to improve Ferrari’s race performance,” explained Vasseur. “Our decision was to confirm the updates that worked in Spain. In this way we hope to deliver to Leclerc and Sainz a single-seater that will perform more consistently on Sunday.”
Vasseur then recalled Ferrari’s performance in the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix. “Last year Sainz and Leclerc were both big stars in the Montreal run. The former put pressure on Verstappen from the first to the last lap, the latter was the protagonist of a great comeback from the back of the grid. We race in a country where we have a lot of fans, so we want to give them a good team performance,” was his final promise.
