Dinamo Sassari, news in Piero Bucchi’s staff
News in the staff of Dinamo Sassari. The Sardinian club has announced the arrival of Massimiliano Oldoini, from Pallacanestro Cantù.
“Dinamo Banco di Sardegna is pleased to announce the addition of Massimiliano Oldoini to the Biancoblu staff: the experienced Ligurian assistant comes to Dinamo after the last two years at Pallacanestro Cantù,” reads the note issued by the Banco.
“Born in 1969, he started working at a very young age in his hometown of La Spezia: in 1996, after some experiences in the youth sector in Florence and Empoli, he arrives at Mens Sana Siena where he experiences the great years of the Tuscan team. In parallel comes the call to the Italian national team, as assistant coach of the Under 20. In 2006 he is at Fortitudo Bologna: from 2008 to 2013 he is at Caserta where he becomes Pino Sacripanti’s right-hand man. The long liaison with Sacripanti took him first to Cantù then to Avellino. After a few seasons in Serie B as head coach in Caserta, Vicenza and Olginate, he returned to Cantù where in the last two years he assisted coach Meo Sacchetti.”
Odoini commented on his arrival in Sardinia as follows, “I am thrilled to join the Dinamo family: I want to thank Piero Bucchi for the opportunity, president Stefano Sardara and general manager Federico Pasquini for the trust. Sassari and Dinamo represent an important square that over the years has earned respect and esteem in the Italian and European basketball scene, sportingly with the results achieved and professionally for the proverbial seriousness of the club. It is an honor for me to work in Sardinia, alongside such an experienced coach as Piero Bucchi. I look forward to putting my experience and technical background at the service of the staff and the team.”
