Tour de France: Rodriguez triumphs in Morzine, Vingegaard remains in yellow
The 14th stage of the Tour de France, which runs from Annemasse to Morzine Les Portes du Soleil for a total of 151.8 km, goes to Carlos Rodriguez. The talented young Spaniard crossed the finish line solo after 3h58’45”, ahead of Slovenia’s Tadej Pogacar and Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard in a stage marked by a half-hour stop due to a maxi crash early in the race.
It was the first career victory in the Tour for the INEOS Grenadiers rider, his second consecutive success after that of Pole Michal Kwiatkowski on stage 13.
In the general classification, Vingegaard retains the yellow jersey, ten seconds ahead of Pogacar, with whom he engaged in an incredible duel throughout the race.
