Benedetta Pilato vehemently responds to critics
Benedetta Pilato, after placing a bronze medal around her neck at the Fukuoka World Championships, responds decisively to critics, those who are never happy.
“I am really happy and this bronze medal gives me a boost. I hear people say about an Italy that is underwhelming, and I don’t agree: rather I would say that the level is raised and we still manage to be protagonists,” began the Taranto-born athlete.
“This medal for me has a special weight, some will say it is only a bonzo but for me it is worth as a gold” the second hit.
The national swimming team ended the rainbow event with one gold, four silvers and one bronze, including four silvers in Olympic events in 13 individual and three relay finals, setting an Italian record and improving six personal bests.
