Eurobasket 2025 qualifiers: Italy drawn in round B

Tuesday saw the draw for the qualifying rounds of EuroBasket 2025, the European Championship to be held in two years’ time between Cyprus (Limassol), Finland (Tampere), Poland (Katowice) and Latvia (Riga).

The Azzurri, in the second bracket in the draw, were placed in Group B with Turkey, Hungary and Iceland.

The competition schedule will also be announced soon.

The competitions will be played along three “windows”: Feb. 19-27, 2024 (two matches), Nov. 18-26, 2024 (two matches) and Feb. 17-25, 2025 (two matches). The top three finishers in each group will qualify for the European Championships except for the groups involving the host teams. Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia are already sure of a pass and will compete out of the competition. Therefore, the top two ranked teams in their respective groups will qualify.
