Romain Grégoire wins the Tour du Limousin
At just 20 years old, Romain Grégoire continues his impressive rise. Already the winner of the Four Days of Dunkirk in May, the Groupama-FDJ rider also won the Tour du Limousin, which had its epilogue on Friday.
Grégoire, who won the first and third stages, finished first in the general classification 38 seconds ahead of Benoît Cosnefroy (AG2R-Citroën). Rounding out the podium was Australian Michael Storer, another Groupama-FDJ rider.
In the final stage, which took the riders from Saint-Yrieix to Limoges over a distance of 171 kilometers, the bunch sprint smiled on 22-year-old Hugo Page (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty), who sealed his first victory among the pros, ahead of Paul Magnier (Trinity Racing) and Luca Mozzato (Arkéa Samsic).
