Sebastian Vettel to The Red Bullettin returned to talk about his new life: “The first few months went by quickly and it was nice to enjoy the time off. Many factors contributed to my decision to retire: I didn’t quit because I didn’t like the sport anymore, because I was too slow or because I absolutely wanted to do something else. The reasons for withdrawals are very individual.”

You have to put all the different aspects together first. When I joined McLaren, the team gave me the time I needed to be able to grow.
