Marco Bezzecchi and friendship with Pecco Bagnaia: “We are mature, it will always be like this.”
The rivalry does not seem to be able to jeopardize their friendship.
Marco Bezzecchi talks about Pecco Bagnaia, like him a product of Valentino Rossi’s prolific VR46 Academy but now an opponent in the MotoGP title race. Yet the Rimini native continues to describe himself as inseparable with his factory Ducati team colleague, with the belief that this will not changeà over time.
"When you wear the helmet è impossible for you to have friends on the track. You have to be bad, even if in a good way. But as soon as you take it off you have to differentiate, becauseé we are adults", said Bezzecchi, as you canò read on the website of the 'Gazzetta dello Sport'.
The Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider then dwelt on his excellent relationship with Bagnaia off the track. "Now he goes in front, so è more è easy – joked Bezzecchi -. I just hope that, if one day I have to beat him more è often, he won’t take it. We are però mature enough to continue in this way. We get along very well, also because we train together. Then we are fortunate that if an argument arises, we resolve it immediately becauseé we are together really always".
