Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur sets target for Monza
The words of Ferrari’s team principal ahead of the Monza Gp
A few days before the Monza Gp, Ferrari’s team principal è expressed himself on his feelings ahead of his first outing on an Italian track as the number one of the Maranello stable’s wall.
"We were looking forward to racing here in Monza, our only home race after the cancellation of the one in Imola, and finally we are here. For the whole team to get on the track in front of the fans è an incentive to put our soul into everything we do. Our goal must be to repay those who always support us both when things go well and, more importantly, when they go wrong. We want to deliver a good show and a performance of character. For me, this is the first Gp d'Italia in this role with the Scuderia, so the excitement è even greater" began the Ferrari team principal.
"To hit the target we have set ourselves, we must put aside the emotional side and focus on preparing the best possible execution of the weekend from the first free practice session until the last lap of the race" added the former Alfa Romeo manager.
"We saw in Belgium that, on certain types of tracks, the SF-23 can be competitive. We have to be perfect. Charles and Carlos are two of the strongest drivers in the world and it is our duty to put them in a position to make their talent count. Behind Red Bull, the values are extremely close and every detail will be able to make a difference. Let’s put our best foot forward" he summed up Frederic Vasseur.
