Pecco Bagnaia’s words after the Sprint Race

.

Pecco Bagnaia finished second in the Sprint Race of the Grand Prix of India, behind his direct rival, Jorge Martin, who is now 33 points away in the overall standings.

"After what we saw yesterday, the second place was the maximum we could aspire to – amessoed the centaur from Piedmont to the microphones of Sky Sports -. We are not right in braking, the bike was nervous and I was struggling to brake. The difference with Jorge (Martin) è was just the braking. However, I am happy with the step forward we made this morning, we found the square. Without Bezzecchi’s problem (restarted last after being rear-ended by team-mate Luca Marini, ed) I would hardly have finished second. Now we have to work with the usual calm and carefree".

"As for tomorrow’s race I think Martin and 'Bez' have more potential, at the moment they are more competitive under braking,” he added. This morning we still did a good job with the medium tire. It has less grip than the soft but it has more consistent grip. However, never say never, I am quite calm for tomorrow, we can solve our problems".

"The circuits where we will run the next races (Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, ed) I like them a lot, but now I want to think about tomorrow" concluded Bagnaia.
