Luca Marini è was immediately operated on his left shoulder after breaking the collarbone suffered in Saturday’s sprint race of the MotoGp Grand Prix d'India.

"And è that went as well. Thanks to Dr. Porcellini and his team. Not one of my best times, but we start the countdown to get back in the saddle as soon as possible. We hold on", wrote the VR46 rider and brother of Valentino Rossi on Instagram.

Luca Marini will not be able to return in time for the Japanese Grand Prix, but he will try to be 100 percent ready for the next round in Indonesia, scheduled for Oct. 15.

In the overall standings Luca Marini currently occupies eighth place with 135 points.
