Jannik Sinner achieved his 51st victory of the season against Sebastian Baez of Argentina, defeating him with a final score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Thanks to this result, Sinner è earned a place in the round of 16 of the Shanghai tournament and is preparing to face promising U.S. tennis player Ben Shelton.
Despite a difficult start in the first set, Sinner è managed to make the second his own thanks to more efficient groundstrokes and response. In the third set, he then continued to play with great determination, getting an additional break that allowed him to close out the match with a comfortable 6-2.
Sinner, currently fourth in the world rankings, is aiming for an encore after his triumph in the Beijing tournament.
