Jamion Christian’s words on the eve of Pallacanestro Trieste-Nardò Basketball

Jamion Christian presented in a press conference the midweek round against Nardò Basket, scheduled Wednesday at 20:30 at PalaTrieste. "Our goal was to get off to a good start and improve game after game,” he stressed. “From this point of view, we have done an outstanding job so far. We are growing, we started with two wins and I am obviously happy about that. The encouraging aspect of this team è that we have ample room for improvement as well as the qualities to overcome moments of difficulty. We are also finding ways to win games differently and this will be really important as time goes on".

He then analyzed the opponents, identifying the number one danger: "An important aspect of this league and the course of the season è that every team has a very good level in terms of grit. Every team has great pride and great players. For us it is not just about the upcoming challenge with Nardò who has Russ Smith on the roster, one of the best players individually in all of Italy and probably in European basketball. Nardò è a really talented team: it’s not so much a matter of the opponent, whom we must always have great respect for, but rather that we are on this path to find the best in ourselves and be able to always play our best against a good team. We have to be focused on that as best we can. We certainly have not played our best basketball yet, but we have the qualities to do it".

" I think the support of our fans is always fantastic. We felt their closeness in the last game in Chiusi and every place we played their support è it was incredible. È it is great to play feeling the support of your people. We need them and to feel their confidence in this team. Their support è for us a huge advantage" concluded on the'importance of the fans.
