Jannik Sinner in the final: beats Rublev and signs a new historic record

A stunning Jannik Sinner beat a tenacious Andrey Rublev in two sets to qualify for the final of the Atp 500 tournament in Vienna. The South Tyrolean tennis player bent the world number five with a score of 7-5, 7-6, confirming his fourth place in the Atp rankings and reaching his sixth final in 2023.

Another great performance by the tennis player from San Candido, who set a new record: è the Italian tennis player who has won the most matches in a single year, as many as 55.

Rublev è confirmed himself in the best form of his career, often putting the Azzurro in trouble, especially on serve: once again making the difference è was the mental toughness of Jannik, who in the decisive moments è was glacial.

Sinner recovered in the first set from 3-5, winning four games in a row and winning 7-5, and won the second at the tie-break, again recovering a disadvantage.

In the final Sinner will face another Russian, the number three on the planet Daniil Medvedev, already beaten in China in Beijing.
