ATP Vienna Finals, Daniil Medvedev vs Jannik Sinner: second set goes to the Russian
Daniil Medvedev wins in the second set against Jannik Sinner
Daniil Medvedev found a tie in the set count in the final of the Vienna ATP against Jannik Sinner.
After bowing out at the tie-break of the first set, allowing the South Tyrolean to take the lead, the ATP No. 3 also started the second set quietly, but after finding himself on 1-2 he won four consecutive games, giving a precise direction to the fraction of play.
It was not enough for Sinner to recover a break, even reaching 5-4: Medvedev did not tremble and in the next game, on his own serve, closed a fraction that lasted 50 minutes.
It will therefore be the third set that will decide the fate of the two tennis players, who arrived in the final as predicted, since at the seeding level of the tournament Medvedev has the number 1 and Sinner the 2.
