Fernando Alonso and the Red Bull rumors: the “loyalist” gives clarity
The future of the champion continues to be a topic of great interest.
Fernando Alonso in Red Bull in place of Sergio Perez and alongside Max Verstappen starting with the 2024 season continues to be a very strong suggestion for the Asturian's many fans and Formula 1 enthusiasts in general. A rumor that began to spread a few weeks ago and that certainly has not è subsided after the memorable podium conquered by the Aston Martin star at Interlagos, to the detriment of the Mexican driver himself. Those who particularly know him, such as Pedro De La Rosa, però wanted to shed light on the situation.
If in fact Alonso himself has so far dismissed this eventuality already in Brazil, De La Rosa also wanted to have his say on the matter. The latter, also a Spaniard, worked together with his compatriot at McLaren in 2007, at Ferrari in 2013 and 2014 and now works at Aston Martin as an ambassador.
"I don’t know where these rumors come from nor what the source is,” De La Rosa explained to 'Movistar Plus+' -But Alonso è an Aston Martin driver, è very important for us and nothing è destined to change. The time for nonsense è is over, now we have to focus only on the three remaining races that are crucial. Without any worries, becauseé Fernando will stay ".
