After meeting with Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala, on the occasion of the opening of the Davis Cup Trophy Tour (at the Sala degli Arazzi of Palazzo Marino in Milan), the president of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation Angelo Binaghi, speaking at the microphones of ANSA, announced the possibility of hosting the Davis Cup Finals in Milan in 2025. 

"We are ready to compete to bring the Davis Cup Finals to Milan starting in 2025, as soon as the ITF opens a bidding process,” Binaghi stressed. We are convinced that we have what it takes to field a competitive proposal, with the commitment of everyone, public and private entities. Mayor Giuseppe Sala, with whom we have already begun discussions, knows the seriousness of our commitment".

"Sì, Binaghi called me to understand our interest and our interest è enormous, è clear that it would be a dream – added Sala -. It must be a strong candidacy, without making bad figures. We would be very interested, it would be prestigious. I do not know how concrete it is, for now è a dream".
